WLEH’s Incubator–Accelerator Model
The Women Leaders in Eye Health 2026 programming is designed as a connected journey, supporting women in eye health to move from leadership development to real-world impact.
At the core of this approach is an integrated incubator–accelerator model. Participants are supported not only to build their leadership capacity, but also to translate ideas into action, implementation, and measurable change.
The AMPLIF‑EYE program serves as the incubator, providing mentorship training and structured support to help participants develop and refine leadership and innovation-aligned ideas.
Building on this foundation, the Accelerator Track creates pathways for both participants and external applicants to advance these ideas through targeted opportunities that support professional growth, implementation, and impact at institutional and systems levels.
At the core of the Accelerator Track are two complementary streams: the WLEH Fellowships, which support advanced learning and professional development, and the Innovation Hub, which provides funding support to implement promising ideas.
Together, these components function as a continuous pipeline, guiding participants from leadership development to funding, implementation, and measurable impact.

AMPLIF-EYE
AMPLIF‑EYE, as the incubator within WLEH’s model, equips women in eye health with the leadership skills, mentorship support, and structured training needed to develop and refine ideas aligned with real-world impact.
Through a combination of interactive learning and coaching, participants are supported to shape early-stage concepts into strong, actionable initiatives with potential for scale and implementation

Innovation Hub
The Innovation Hub provides funding and support for high-potential ideas led by women in eye health, including initiatives in mentorship, research, service delivery, training, and digital innovation.
These innovations are selected based on their potential to advance gender equity, strengthen leadership, and drive institutional or system-level change.

Fellowships
Fellowships support individual women in eye health to pursue advanced training, clinical specialization, or academic opportunities that strengthen their professional and leadership trajectory.
This stream focuses on long-term capacity-building, enabling participants to deepen expertise and contribute to their institutions and communities.
